We need your help. We are trying to get the word out and call attention to the fact that a significant portion of our elderly community is suffering substandard care and direct acts of abuse and neglect at the hands of care-givers who are being paid significant money to provide for their basic care needs and the monitoring of their health, safety and well-being. Most of this abuse and neglect is being committed in the settings of skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation care centers, long term nursing homes, and residential care facilities for the elderly (assisted living facilities).
Until and unless we as a society do something to stop this shameful conduct from continuing, it will not. Big corporations will continue to trim their operations by purposefully cutting nursing staff and providing minimum care to the residents/patients, all aimed at the goal of maximizing their corporate profits. In doing so, the residents/patients of these care facilities will continue to be put at risk of suffering malnutrition, dehydration, skin breakdown (pressure ulcers) as well as other serious personal injury and death.
We at Berman & Riedel, LLP, are asking you to help us in our fight against elder abuse and neglect. All we ask is that you ‘like’ and ‘share’ our firm’s Facebook page with everyone you know. We need to get the word out. By liking and sharing our firm’s Facebook page with others, we will better be able to get information out to those who care about the elderly community, including important information on issues that cover topics like: how to choose the best nursing home for a loved one, or what are the signs and symptoms to look for in detecting elder abuse and neglect, for example. While you or a loved one may not currently need to consider these issues, by sharing our site, you may just help someone else who is facing these important issues. Do everyone a favor, and especially the elderly community; help us spread the word to everyone about the ongoing epidemic of elder abuse and neglect within our elder care facilities. In addition to sharing us through Facebook (facebook.com/bermanlawyers), you can look us up or recommend us online at www.bermanlawyers.com/elder-abuse.
