LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, CALIFORNIA – 12-year-old Angelina Posca and her father Angel Jorge Posca, 58, of Palmdale, California were tragically killed by a large truck. The truck was being driven by 43-year-old Marcos Costa, who has been arrested on charges of vehicular manslaughter and felony reckless driving. In the gruesome scene, twelve people were injured, and helicopters transported some victims to the hospital.
In addition to the liability on the part of the reckless truck driver, government officials may have known about this dangerous road for some time without doing anything about it. If there is a design defect in the roadway, that may also provide the basis of a lawsuit. The crash occurred on the corner of Foothill Boulevard and Angeles Crest Highway in an area where numerous other trucking accidents have taken place.
