LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – Do you own a hybrid Honda Civic? If so, you may be part of a class action case that is alive again and pending against Honda Automotive. In Los Angeles today, a California Appeals Court issued a decision clearing the way for owners of the hybrid Honda Civic to sue the car’s manufacturer for false advertising. The suit is premised upon allegations that Honda falsely advertised the mileage capabilities for the hybrid Honda Civic despite its knowledge that the vehicle was not achieving its advertised mileage. In overturning a decision rendered by the trial court regarding the propriety of the lawsuit, the case was remanded back to the trial court with direction to allow the action to go forward.
