EL CAJON, CALIFORNIA – A music teacher and minister who was a mentor to boys in both San Diego and Riverside Counties was arraigned today on counts of lewd and lascivious acts with children. The alleged perpetrator, Jimmie “Xray” Robinson, Jr. is 47 years old and pled not guilty of sexual assault in the Superior Court in El Cajon. If convicted, Mr. Robinson could face life in prison.
Unfortunately, it seems that cases of child molestation have become a common occurrence, as they are frequently reported in the news. While the State of California is diligently prosecuting these cases, it is also possible for victims to bring a civil lawsuit and obtain monetary compensation. Particularly if a sexual predator owns a house and other assets, it certainly may be worth pursuing to ensure that just compensation is achieved.
If you or a love one has been subjected to a sexual assault or molestation the attorneys at Berman & Riedel, LLP are available for a free and confidential conversation to discuss your options.
