GARDEN GROVE CALIFORNIA – A woman in a motorized wheelchair who was trying to cross the street died shortly after being struck by a motorist. The victim, Kum Lim, was 88 years old, and was in a wheelchair on Lampson Avenue near Monarch Street at approximately 7:45 a.m. when the incident took place. Later the same morning Ms. Lim died at the hospital.
The accident is currently under investigation, and it is yet to be determined if Ms. Lim was in a crosswalk, or precisely where she was in the intersection.
