RIALTO, CALIFORNIA – Margarita Rodriguez-Dominguez, 40, of Rialto, tragically had her life cut short as a result of the reckless behavior of Johnny Morales. The man who killed her, Mr. Morales, is now being held for suspicion of murder following his drunk driving and reckless conduct, which ended by taking the life of Ms. Rodriguez-Dominguez. The driver was evading police at 2:00 a.m., and ran a red light while intoxicated. His 1994 Lincoln Town Car rear-ended a 1991 Honda Accord and killed Ms. Rodriguez-Dominguez, who was in the back seat.
In addition to violation numerous traffic laws on the night of the incident, Mr. Morales was on probation and had a suspended license after being convicted earlier in 2009 for driving under the influence. Although the criminal justice system can and should punish people like Mr. Morales, it is up to civil attorneys to represent the victims of such accidents and recover monetary damages for the victims and their families. Particularly if there is insurance coverage it may be worth pursing a case and recovering what you are entitled to under the law.
Berman & Riedel, LLP specializes in vehicle accidents and has successfully recovered money damages on behalf of such victims. The families of those killed through such negligence or recklessness may also recover in a wrongful death action for the loss of their loved one.
